A place where abandoned, orphaned, neglected, and underprivileged children are given the love, care, and support they deserve. At Destitute Home, we believe that "A life not lived for others is not a life." Every child deserves a chance to live a happy, healthy, and educated life, and with your help, we can make this dream a reality.
Destitute Home was established by Kevilenuo Chadi, a single mother with a heart of gold, in 2018. After witnessing the hardships that many children faced in the community, she took it upon herself to provide them with a safe and loving home. Today, Destitute Home is a beacon of hope for children who have been abandoned, neglected, or are unable to live with their families due to financial or social difficulties.
We currently care for 9 school-going children, but our resources are limited. Our home operates out of a small, rented building, which can barely accommodate our family of 12 members. Despite these challenges, we are committed to improving the lives of these children.
"I started Destitute Home with just one goal: to give children who have been deprived of love and care the chance to live a fulfilling life. It hasn’t been easy, but the joy I see on the children's faces makes it all worthwhile."
- Kevilenuo Chadi, Founder and President.
Founded in 2018, Destitute Home offers a shelter to children who come from broken homes, extreme poverty, or have been abandoned. Our goal is to provide them with not just the basics like food and shelter but also education, emotional support, and a loving environment.
Our vision is to create a world where every child, regardless of their background, has access to education, healthcare, and emotional well-being. We aim to build a better future for them by empowering them with the tools they need to succeed.
